We installed 4200 feet
of Wirsbo MultiCor on a job today. Two of us unrolled and tied the loop ends. Max came right behind and filled in the ClipTies every 18".
With the ClipTie tool he was able to tie down 14- 300 foot loops in just under 5 hours! Never bent over once, and didn't even get his hands dirty
We tubed, tied, manifolded, and presssure tested this job in 6 hours time today.
Contact your Watts Radiant rep for a demo. I have used several versions of this tool for about 6 years now. I never leave home without it!

It's called \"The Barrier\"
This is mu first job with it. I saw it at the recent RadFest. A fairly new underslab insulation. Comes in 4 foot wide rolls 60 feet long. The nice feature is it has a peel and stick strip along the edges so it connects tightly for a sound vapor barrier.
They rate it at a more realistic R 1.65. I use foamboard for the edge and first 2- 4' around the perimeter, then the Barrier for the interior.
I feel comfortable with that R value for the middle of slabs, in my climate. Especially over 3/4" gravel, which is a poor conductor to begin with. The ground makeup below any slab has the most to do with downward lose, in my opinion. If it were solid rock, perhaps a higher R value would be wise. Lots of trapped air space in a washed, 3/4" gravel
Two of us insulated and meshed a current 4000 square foot job in 5 hours. Much nicer than foamboards to work with and walk on.
