Are you talking burner cycle? Depending on the load and if there was a temp. setback the burner could be on for 20 min.
Steam sysyems are open systems. You should have to add water. How much and how often the questions.
Waht type of Low water cutoff do you have? If its is the type that looks like a 2 liter bottle of soda attached to the side it should be blown down each week during the heating season.When you do this you will need to add water. kpc
