hot water loop on steam boiler

can a hot water loop be installed into a steam boiler? And if so where could i look to find the specifics on how to do this. I know I've seen it done before but I'm not so sure it was done correctly. thanks.

As our host would say it pays to wander off the wall.

Like to run a hot water zone off a steam boiler?

Steam boiler with a hydronic loop

I know this is done more often than we would like to admit. As the tech that comes in after the fact, how do we insure that the hydronic loop doesn't loose it's "prime" over the off season? Is that the purpose of the flow control valve on the supply side of the hydronic loop? Also, will it matter if two circuits share the same supply and return pipe with balancing valves to control flow?
