Heating problems for 2 pipe steam

they should all heat at the same time. Usually your problem is caused by bad main vents.

Your system has heat emitters called "convectors" which are recessed into the wall. I have seen jobs like this installed with air vents either on the convectors or on the returns in the basement, but most of them had traps or orifices.

Rsome of the radiators wont heat

Hi, Arent all the radiators in the house supposed to heat up at the same time? My problem is that some radiators heat up quicker than most and some not at all. What causes them not to heat? I have a boiler with a two pipe system and the radiators are not really radiators. They have thin metal fins with a pipe going down the middle and they are built inside the walls with a cover over them, rather than the radiators sitting on the floor. They just look totally different than those cast iron radiators out there. Also, I think that I am supposed to have steam traps rather than air vents. How do I know the difference if I have the correct vent? Thanks, Seth
