    new home for new client

i'm going to be installing a new heating system in a clients new home. the ho said they have a problem with their existing steam system in their existing house. the system is 30-40 yrs old, full of condensate and their are rusted bolts? on the boiler whicj are leaking steam? i haven't seen the boiler but don't do much with steam. i told them i would try to find a knowledgable steamfitter to have a look. they are selling the house in a year but don't want to go through the winter cold. anyone interested let me know.

    Me too

I would be willing to look at it as well if you like, as I am in SE Mass.
I do work for a manufacturer, but I will come in on this as a Wallie, and nothing else. No brand name specific sales push, just my insight.
    Let me know.

  • Come on Guy!

None of us are naive enough to believe that line. I really think that it is the responsibility of the contractors to step up to the plate here instead of the representatives of boiler manufacturers. I offer to do the same thing but only with a contractor with me or already involved. Chasing boiler leads from "The Wall" sort of seems like a pretty desparate move on your part to drum up some business. In my opinion, building relationships with installing contractors who in turn can respond to these requests, is a better avenue to business. I have all of the utmost respect for you and your company Guy, but "ambulance chasing" is not something that we ought to be doing here without the involvement of a contractor. If I'm wrong then tell me so! And by the way....I happen to live in RI but that is not why I am telling you this.
