    water to water heat pumps

Is climate master a decent brand for a water to water heat pump? What is the best way to set up a geo system with a 4 zone radiant floor, domestic hot water & ducted cooling? The current system is running with a propane fueled boiler, mixing pump with tecmar controller.
    Thanks.

    Yes

depending on the design temperature you need for the radiant, heat pumps can be an excellent match. Good idea to pipe a buffer tank inline with the heat pump. I use electric water heater s for this and have the elements for back up or temperature boost if needed.

I'm not familiar with that brand, I have used HydroTemps and they will build units with a desuperheater sized to the radiant load.

Check with that manufacture for design assistence and radiant tie in. They should have the info needed to size the equipment properly.

Make sure you have a local dealer with experienced installers and service people. Heat pumps needs to be calculated and installed correctly. They are not as forgiving as a boiler :)

    While we're at it...

What do you guys think about Water Furnace? I have a good freind and dealer of these that has just about got me talked into geo for my new house. This is all he does and he has some great war stories about the energy savings. I am going to try to get him to become a regular poster here.

    Marty...Where are you?
