Engineered subfloor on concrete basement floor?

you would want some insulation or a thermal break between the radiant and the old slab.

Various manufactures have different requirements for installing over concrete. Of course you need to be sure that concrete floor does not see water. This would rot the wood, float the floor and wick away all your heat. Be sure you deal with any water issues before you proceed.

best radiant subfloor over basement concrete floor

What is the preferred radiant subfloor/panel products used ontop of basement concrete floors for radiant floor heat? It is dry but subject to normal basement conditions. Also somewhat limited in height. Plans for a floating engineered wood finished floor or carpeting.
