Boiler Door Insulation

Member Posts: 34
The insulation on the inside of my boiler door has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. I've searched the Wall for other postings on this but can't find any. Is it worth bothering to insulate the door? If so, what type of material? Thanks

Yes you should insulate the door. Unless the boiler is really old, you should be able to find a exact replacement for it. If not one can be fabricated out of Kaowool Board. This product can be found at any good burner parts supplier. You should have a pro do this job as some burner adjustment will be necessary after you replace the door insulation. This insulation protects the burner and its parts from excess heat.
