When air passes thru my hoffman adjustable valves, they make a whistling noise for about 5-20 seconds that sounds like the sounds whales make underwater, sort of a long whistling noise. The sound is very irritating to me-could someone PLEASE make suggestions? I can't find anything in the WE GOT Steam book (THANK YOU DAN FOR WRITING THIS LIFE-SAVING BOOK!).
One suggestion (thank you Frank!) was trying vent-rite adjustable valves instead...thoughts on this? I can't locate vent-rite valve to purchase.
Many thanks,

Main Vents
Are your main vents in order? If not, all the air in your mains will be vented out of your radiator vents and that's a lot of air.

Ellis, I should be able to get them for you
soon as I get home from Tim McElwain's Gas Training Institute, I'll get on it. And let's not forget the pipe insulation for the crawlspace.
P.S. Have you become Daddy yet?0
