Buderus wall hung boiler.

Which is prefered? This will be the first wall hung boiler we are installing and I need some advise. We have in the past installed Weil McLain Gold cond. boilers. This install will be in an old home with oil fired boiler w/domestic coil. All radiators are staying but we are breaking down all piping and doing 3 zones. Thinking about adding a PV water heater for beauty shop to seperate utilities. Any advice would be appreciated.

Buderus vs. W/M
They are both great pieces of equipment. Efficiency ratings are about the same and either will do a great job. I'm a big WM fan myself but prefer to be flexible and chose the right boiler for the job. When things are pretty much equall when comparing, I go MADE IN THE USA !!!

Take it from Me.................................................
I go OUT OF MY WAY TO install Made in USA, but our manufacturers really do have a lot of catching up to do on the cutting edge technologies...its coming but a little too slowly. Mad Dog

Me thinks Buderus and Viessman put themselves in a
seperate class with their smart, compact wall hung designs. Although most people marvel at the small size of the other condensing boilers, They are even more impressed when something can get up off the ground...clearing more valuable square footage. I know the others have stands or brackets, but its not the same look. Mad Dog

Valuable square footage
You nailed it Matt.
When builders & homeowners realise that they don't have to devote a 9-12 sq' foot closet @ $60-100 per foot to a water heater, and DO NOT want it in the attic, 9 out of 10 go for a Tankless in a heartbeat. Tankless, final answer
Lot's of ways to skin a cat, and convince the un-convincible
I like them (wall-hung anything) for other selfish reasons, my 56 yr old knees & back would rather work standing up, looking directly at the equipment

The winner is??
Buderus!!!!!! After all I read, the choice was simple. Now we better get some training on this boiler. Looking foward to it. Does anyone know if Buderus has training all the time or only a couple of classes per year? RianS0 -
Contact your Factory Rep
We went through our Rep. Put together a group of 25 people. They took care of Hotel & Dinner. We paid the bar bill...

I know
He had at least three really thirsty wetheads with him. The bar bill was "substantial" to say the least.

GB142 Training
I suggest checking with the distributor, representative or our website, regarding GB142 training. If this is a unit you are looking to add to your product offering then the training cannot be missed. The training reviews the product, applications, installations and actual hands on in the lab (we cause the units to not work and you fix it!). Any questions please contact us at 1-800-283-3787.0 -
Thanks Joe@Buderus, I will call next week. Also my thanks to all for your advise. RianS0
