Honeywell 24v zone valve, end switch

I recently had a call where the end switch closed and the relay would just chatter. I thought a switch was either open or closed too. Since the end switch isn't available separately, replacing the head fixed it.

Has anyone had problems with Honeywell 24v zone valve end switch not closing tt on boiler? Paddle makes contact & pushing button does not always work either. Zone valves on same relay work fine. Replace zv head with new switch works fine. On test bench old switch shows continuity and when wired to 120 volts, will light a bulb. . It's just a switch, what gives? Rich0 -
Sometimes it is linkage
The motor may work fine, the end switch may work fine, but the linkage seems to get slippage preventing the paddle from fully deppressing the little button. It is a PITA.0 -
End Switch
Yes they go . They show up when the others also fail. No one notices the slaving of the bad one.....
The reason a higher voltage flows where a lower does not is because the higher the voltage the lower the resistance..Same reason very High voltage is used to transport electricity...0
