Chemically ecthing concrete with embedded tubing
A cleint asked if she would damage the embedded pex tubing in her new concrete floor if she chemically etched the floor?0 -
I would think not
but it wouldn't hurt to get the OK from the tube manufacture. Concrete is pourus, and I'll bet there are some small road map cracks where the acid could get to the tube.
You don't have any splices do you! I'd worry about acid on a coupling of any sort.

PEX is acid resistant
They ship hydrocloric acid in polyethylene bottles. Polyethylene is chemically resistant to acids. If I had to pipe hydrocloric acid from point A to point B I would probably chose PEX tubing.0
