Removing Cast Iron Heater

February 2006 in THE MAIN WALL

I need to get a very large cast iron heater out of a room. It must weight 1000 lbs. and I have decided it must be taken apart to remove it in pieces. However, I can not pry or hammer the ribs apart. Is there a common way this is done?
