Thanks for the replys guys.

I'll be contacting factory tommorrow am. If this is ongoiing problem, maybe I can talk HTP into upgraing the control. I wasnt aware that the new one have auto reset after F10.

I'm not sure, but I think the wind was NE the other night, the same direction the vent is facing. Hmmmmmmmm.

    munchkin F10 fault

I had a munchkin 140m go into f10 fault ( flame sensing ) twice within 7 days. Both days were VERY windy.

I checked everything out the unit looks OK. Its been running for 7 months.

I dont know if the wind caused this problem , or is it a coincidence?

    Any thoughts.

    Thanks Tom

    F10

I have had numerous F10 and I noticed it was windy when they occurred. Did you set your Munchkin up properly with a CO tester? The company techs say that it is important. I have set up all that I have installed and still got F10 on windy nights. The new controls will automatically reset after an hour of F10. They are expensive to replace though.

If you really think that the wind has factored into the F10 fault, consider the venting:Call the factory and find out what your options are for possibly changing the vent terminations so that the wind will not be quite as aggressive toward them. As a matter of fact, FAX them a quick sketch of how they are terminated now with a note about the conditions of the F10. 508-763-4909 is the fax line into tech.
