I am working on an apartment building that is going to condos. The owner wants more control over the room temps for the new owners. This is a monoflow system with recessed convectors. He has been asking about TRVs. I have heard warnings about valving a monoflow. Any further suggestions on controling individual rads would be appreciated. Robby0 -

I have not much with monoflow tees but I just read an article recently. The problem is flow through the monflow tee when the valve is closed. All the flow is then forced through the mono flow tee which can cause high head in the system. You might want to ask the author of the article.0 -

I have used some monoflow tees, but not very often. The problem is when you stop the flow on the branch of the monoflow tee you you are focing all the flow through the monflow fitting cause a high head pressure situation. Here is an interestig acticle I happened to come across today, It's ironic I say your thread just after I read this. Hope this helps.
