sorry I wasnt clear enough. customer wants steam heat gone and wants two zones hydro air. i figured i could save the new steam boiler.

I have customer who wants to convert his existing steam boiler to forced water. can i do this with all proper controls. thanks for any suggestions.

Then ask why they want to convert it. I doubt there would be an issue with the boiler itself, but the system could throw you a lot of curves. If the steam isn't working well, I have found it's more cost-effective to fix it than convert it.

I'm with Steamhead. With his advice and the other helpful people on this site, my steam system is very efficient. Good vents and insulation.
I've learned that oil companies service boilers and burners, not systems. The main vents, radiator vents and insulation are all part of the system.Steve from Denver, CO0 -

Do they know
That there bills are probalby going to be much higher, they will be less comfortable, and willno longer be able to zone the system room by room? I know, some people are nuts, but we can all try.
