Radiant thermostat

...is single stage, non-programmable, and can be used with a floor sensor. Same footprint as the 512, too.

    Radiant thermostat??

About a year ago we finished a 14,000 sqf home the entire home in radiant the flooring in the home is mixed tile and wood. The customer wants all new thermostats. curently there is a mix of wirsbo 511 and 512 stats they just refuse to learn how to adjust them. I need a simple stat that has a slab sensor for flooring protection.
    any ideas

Are those wirsbo 511 and 512 the same as Tekmar? The heat only ones are not exactly simple.. The heat cool one is a joke. Who wrote that software? And the three hour override, thats a good one.

  • If they have a slab house, tell them to stop adjusting the stats. might be worth a couple of visits to dial it in and let it go.

yah, I know... fat chance. but worth a shot!
  • check dip switch

the Wirsbow 511 & 512 are made by Tekmar and are identical.

there was a large batch of them where the installer/user switch labeling was back to front so homeowners got about 5 more windows than they needed to see consequently making them think they are more complicated than they really are. (i had more than a few of them like this)

the 508 is about as simple a radiant thermostat as you can get (just up and down) and like the 510, 511, 512 a slab sensor can be attached as well as an outdoor sensor to monitor the outside temp on your thermostat(cool!)

The Euro size drives me nuts!

I like to have my wiring in a standard 2X4 electrical box. Especially when a sensor is needed, as it may need to be replaced some day.

I wish they would make them the same size a the typicial US t-stat.

The adapter plate looks cheesey and cost way too much.

    I feel better now :)
