Good article
and timely too. I have come close to using the low loss headers but haven't yet. They sure look like they can shrink the piping on a wall down to less. I sometimes get comments from the HO on how much piping goes into a p/s sytem. With the International Mechanical code calling for insulation on all boiler piping it would also help cut down on the amount of insulation needed. All those tees in a p/s take time to insulate. WW

Congrats are in order to Dan Foley and FMI for the cover shot and article in P & M. Very interesting article and concepts.
The "Comfort Contractors" are separating themselves from all others and setting the bar high for craftsmanship. Definitely something for us to keep striving for.
Congratulations and keep up the good work!0 -

Perry link
HR, can you forward the link to the Perry boys story. It doesn't appear on their website.
Thanks! Paul

very good article. one thing i've been wondering though, is it neccesary to buy a pre-made low-loss header? Viessmanns is like 400 clams, i don't see why one can't build a similar one on-site for a small fraction of that. or am i missing something?0
