"Heeting contracters and hidronik mechanix we is, spelers we ain't!" This board would certainly benefit from the addition of a spelling checker. Any chance of that happening, Dan?

You can type your message in Word, and then cut and paste.

    Spell Cheker

Here's a quick, simple and best of all, free, solution... Download the Google Toolbar.

Not only does it give you instant Googling, it spell checks and can translate into various languages. Mine's set for Italian, 'cause I ain't as bilingual as JohnNY...

When you are done typing, but still within the "message" box, click the "Check" button on the toolbar. It will highlight the entire text in gray, and turn the suspect words red. Simply click on the word for suggested corrections and it's done.

    It's also available for Firefox...

    Hope that helps...

I just got the Google tool bar with a new dell computer, Its easy, and has not caused any problems. I hate to seam lazy but cutting and pasting from word always seamed like too much work. I just recently added the tool bar to all of the computers I use.

    Rock Solid...

    Larry,

The Google stuff is pretty solid, I've never had a problem with any of their software. BTW, I'd uninstall the Dell branded Google bar (from Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel) as I believe it's set to send "anonymous" page rank data to Google and/or Dell. Reinstall it from here(toolbar.google.com) and make sure you "Disable Advanced Features" when you install it. They also have a "beta" (pre-official release) version available.

The same goes with the Google Desktop Dell installs... It's all linked to revenue generation, but I want as little snooping as possible done on me and my pc, even if it's anonymous.

Also check out the full list of Google free stuff at http://www.google.com/intl/en/options/ especially Google Earth. They also have a nifty set of utilities (mostly 3rd party stuff) at pack.google.com which includes anti-spyware software, 6 months of Norton Anti-Virus, etc...

Like we have time to play with all this stuff!
