Valve recomedation

and Watts has pretty well caught up with them even with more metal. Every line has a range of price points though. Different features and types for many applications.

I had a bad run with Nibco valves a while back. Seems they wet tested them and there was water trapped between the ball seat and body. They would explode when soldering from steam pressure. Happened twice and I am careful. Then again I did get them at Home D...

Other lines I specify for commercial and institutional work are Milwaukee, American Valve and if I am feeling really special, Jamesbury-Neles.

I am sure there are others and I learn a lot here too.

    hydronic valve recomendation

Hi All: As a newbie to HeatingHelp.com and the Wall I'd like
to geta recomendation as to what brand valves (ball) you Pros use. I'm a equipment mechanic by trade but also a amature plumber and I try to do my own heating work when I can. You guys know whats good thats why I asked. I'll assume
nibco thats sold at the big boxes won't make the grade, I've
had issuses with these myself. Quality is what counts for me. Thanks.
  • if you're on a budget

i would say Kitz are a good buy and i use them all the time with few problems. you can't go wrong with Red-White though, totally bombproof.
