007IFC

Does the 007–IFC have too much capacity when being used as an injection pump? Additionally, do you need to use a pump with a flow check for injection? Typically, a balancing valve is used to balance the injection loop. The check valve has to have enough spring tension to prevent ghost flow at .4 psi. When reducing the rpm of the injection pump so low, there is not enough pressure to keep the check open, so you end up with chatter, squealing, whistling or any other noises your system dynamics can come up with as the sound begins to reverberate throughout the system.

Curious if anyone's experiencing(ed) noise issues with the 007 IFC's when being controlled by a Tekmar VS 356?

I have one that squeals when being held to a low speed and another that shudders when ramping down, both on the same system.
Not sure if the IFC is the best way to go with VS injection??

    thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
I have Victaulic valves on the 1/2" injection return lines to increase the resistance on the injection pumps.

I've seen some discussion on this board about the check valve being mounted on the return vs. the supply side of the pump. Any idea if that would have an effect? I really don't know where they are located on these pumps.

Last, with these injection systems, re: of resistance there will be a point at which the pump is supplying the target temp and is rotating slowly; do 007's not like spinning that slowly??
