Cracked furnace

Hello,

Last night my furnace cracked because it ran out of water. Smoke filled the house but thank god nothing else happened. The furnace was shut down. My wife has been calling plumbers and 2 of them have come to the house so far. Each of them claim its too big of a job for them because the furnace and piping is so old and out of code. I have young children in the house and need some answers. I live in nassau county near the queens border. Is anyone free to discuss a replacement boiler... please email me at ainfranco@xcitek.com The third plumber is coming between 1pm and 3 to discuss the replacement. They all say because of code changes in town of north heampstead that it is going to be very expensive... they mentioned new wiring chimney liners etc. its a steam heat system with one circulating water system off of it to heat the den.

    Find a pro...

Or more completely Find a Professional on the lefthand side of this page should net you some results. The price probably won't be the cheapest but you probably don't want that anyway, and the work will be top-notch. Best of luck and remember "The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is gone".
