Is pex used with baseray cast iron baseboard?

If so, which type?

I thought I had read a long time ago that there is a temperature limit for the water that is circulated through pex.

Would it be a good idea to scrap the existing large diameter and lengthy monoflo iron piping scheme in favor of zoning with pex?

Lee, a local master plumber i know is spinning in some

individual runs to some existing Gravity system that he has dialed in thru a Viessmann. i will try to get a picture or two today for you. it would depend upon your expectations to some extent. with all the new insulation and losing the entire system basically in favour of a more "Modern" system and a few myson panels in the future i expect it will preform wonders on fuel useage and hot water production in the B&B.

The carpenters hacked all kinds of the system up and almost yanked the expansion tank out Ya got to keep an eye on them :) i voted for keeping the entire system in tact and letting the customers 'feel the real' :) of the past with the added set point controls out door reset and those sort of energy saving devises:) keeping it Up to speed :)

it is going to be sort of a museum some of it functional some of the thing just Being.
