See what happens when you fall asleep during math class? Your circumference gives you a 2" pipe.

pipe size?
Can someone tell me what size my steam pipe is if it measures approx 6.5 inches around the outside (circumference)? Thanks0 -
Could be
1.5 inch iron pipe which would have a circumference of 5.96 inches.
2 inch iron has a circumference of 7.64 inches.
If 6.5 inches around it may be copper. Type L in 2" has a circumference of 6.67 inches.
Best bet is to double check the circumference again and the material. Better yet, buy a Pocket Rocket pipe gauge from this site and you will be a hit at parties. Trust me.
