I just read in Eugene's room that his Mom Passed away early this Morning. She had been ailing for some time.
Eugene, please accept my condolences on your loss. Your Mom was a tough Lady and I know you will miss her deeply.

exactly right.
As much as it is devastating for us at the time, our passed loved one's are never gone. They made us, they are a part of us, and they will be with us forever.
My father died of acute alcoholic poisoning when he was only 53. He had his demons, but he taught me to tie my shoe-laces, rebuild engines, shoot a Lee-Enfield 303, never ever hit a woman or your children (I never have), love your Mother (I do, unconditionally), family ALWAYS comes first, and that the world would be nothing without the working man, so never be ashamed of being a "Tradesman". Do the best job you can, respect yourself and others will respect you.
He's looking over my shoulder right now, nodding, hello Dad, glad you're here with me.
My adorable 78 yr old 4' 11" Jewish Mom is mercifully still with us.
Eugene, I can just imagine your Mom right now, stroking your hair and saying "don't worry son, everything will be OK". And it will.

You guys are absolutely wondermous! (my mom's favorite word made up of wonderful and fabulous).
The funeral was yesterday and it was indeed a beautiful tribute to her. I printed this thread and had it in my suit pocket for moral support. Knowing that you guys were there (at least on paper) made the coping that much easier.
Thanks for all of your support. Since the folks at the Gurwin Jewsifh Geriatric Center took such good care of mom during her stay there, I am asking that, instead of flowers, plants, trees, etc. that donations in memory of Selma Silbestein be made to the
