Old boiler catalogs
We deal with schools a lot. We're often asked the HP of old boilers. The S.F. surface data is often not available and often the company is out of business. I hate to guess. Does anyone have catalogs on 1950 and before "West Coast Steel" brand boilers and "Birchfield" Booilers? These are fire-tube firebox boilers in the 60 to 450 HP range burning #6 oil, mostly. books
You also need the Hydronic Rating Handbook from Color Art 314-966-2000, I assume they are still printing the book. It covers most boilers up to the 1970's.0 -
Look in
the Library, and under Beacon Boiler Reference book. Just about every boiler made up until the 1970s is in there.
It pays to wander off the Wall.Retired and loving it.0 -
The wall
I will have to check that out. I have the Hydronic Reference so I haven't looked for another source.
