warco #6 what is it?

Last night A tech ran a sevice call and replaced a "warco" #6 vacuum vent w/ a Hoffman # 75 are we Ok, what type of system is this type of vent used on.

was originally the William A. Russell Co. and then became Bridgeport Brass, in Bridgeport, CT. I don't think they're still in business. Not sure of the capacity of the #6, but if you still have it and it passes some air, you might send it to Gerry Gill so he can measure its capacity in his lab.
Whether or not the Hoffman was the right vent depends on what it was installed on. If it was a steam main, we'd need to know its length and diameter. If a dry return on a Vapor system, what type of system and how many rads on it.
