Ignition Transformer

Hello. I have a question about constant duty ignitors vs. cad cell ignitors. Carlin list both under differnt mfg #.
I know you can make an interrupted ignition constant by elliminating or bypassing the blue wire and it will run but can you put a interrupted primary control on a constant ignitor such as a carlin 41000? Does the transformer for ignition have to match the type of primary control.

Yes you can

But you don't want to put an interrupted duty t-former on a constant/intermittant control as the ignitor isn't rated to be run all the time
