in THE MAIN WALL
is it an upfeed or overhead system? Open or closed system? I would look at pressure. You should have Dan's book How Come?.

    gravity hot water question

    I have a radiator thhat stoped heating.Gravity system ,serving 2nd &3rd fl.,4rads 2nd,1rad 3rd.system has been fine for 10 yrs.I pulled out rad to check valve and for any orofice or blockage.Every thing seems ok.I disconected sup&ret inbasement and attached hose.water ran through fine.reconected every thing, filled system,bleed rads,lower fls first,STILL NO HEAT IN RAD???System looks to be piped right,it was working till now.Any ideas????
