    Which city

will draw the most Big Uglies to their first monthly get-together? My money's on NEW YORK CITY. Reason being you other guys just ain't ugly enough to compete with us.

    So there.

Let the World Series of Big Uglies Begin!

    January 11th.

And may we always find time for friends. The work will still be there the following day. You'll see.

We need to come up with a prize for the ugliest bunch. Maybe a mounted rusty pipe wrench or lead pipe. Or maybe an boiler old gauge. Any other ideas?

I don't suppose there's anyone in the Bethel, CT area that wants to be locally ugly? New York, 1.5 hours away and on a Thursday night, is just not in the cards, and Boston is 3 hours away. Have one for me guys.
  • Oh my gosh!

When this all started all was very simple as far as choices. I am going to be in Lancaster and Philly on the 11th commuting to the Middletown, NY area that evening. Based on that I was contemplating taking in the NYC Big Ugly unannounced! Now with talk of one in Philly and many other locations the decision isn't that easy anymore.

By the way....you folks out in the Mid West area, Denver and Seattle are going to have to knock off work early to be able to be on your stool at the same time the folks in NYC and Boston are raring to go. That means bar stool times of 4:00 pm for you guys in Seattle!

I'm going to do my best to take in either NYC or Philly depending on what time I get wrapped up in Philly and of course traffic. Maybe I'll see you there and I'll remember to bring my own "Seat Belt"!

The Big Apple. We'll take you to a firehouse and let you slide down the pole. After a few pints, of course.

Remind me after those pints that I promised that, okay?

  • Welllllll

    My fire pole sliding days may very well be over, but you never know what I might do after a few pints as evidenced in the attached picture! ;>}

    Bethel CT?

Where is that? I'm near the Rhode Island side, near the Casinos. Halfway between Bawstan and NY. Anyone?

That Is One Big Group Of Uglies!!!!

The guy with the red eyes; he scares me! I fear that he might be Dr. Stanton, himself. Wow!

I think that the Beantown guys will welcome a few of us guys from Maine to join the team (Oh, Daniel!).

I stopped shaving, bathing and changing clothes as of today. That gives me a 22 day head start for my team. I think we can win guys! Let's win that rusted pipe wrench!

Actually the guy with the Red Eyes is none other than the infamous Ron Jr.! I'm in the Blue shirt and grey hair. The guy next to me with the Mad Dog look is well....Matt "Mad Dog" Sweeney and his main man Jack. This was from a smaller "Big Ugly" we had after a seminar I did in Plainview, Long Island a couple of years ago. Had a great time that night!

    we can always do

Something that has the largest number of 'locals' to attend. let's say within a 75 mile radius?

I think that David Broome, Brian (Tankless), and I will all tie.

    Hmmmmmmm.

It's on the other side, near the NY line. Tough livin' in the country.
  • Alex

I'm going to shoot for the NYC event. Won't be able to have too much fun though as I have to work my way up to Middletown that evening. Hope to see you there!
