CO testers

OK. I any going to get myself a Christmass present and it is going to be a CO tester for boilers and furnaces. We have several Bacharach 125 at our shop but they get passed around and sometimes it is not in my truck when needed. We don't do combustion every day so I can get by with my wet kit in a pinch but need something for co.

If I do a new start-up or know I am going on a combustion related call I grab a 125 from the shop.

So who's got the best CO tester.

    CO testers

All uppper end CO testers can do the job only as good as the person operating it. READ THE MANUAL AND KNOW YOUR METER!! Any questions DO NOT hesitate to call the factory tech support. We use TPI with an infrared printer. Plan on spending over a thousand, and dont look for cheap! This can be the most important tool you will ever own. We have had our TPI's for over a year and had a problem that the factory took care of right away, recalabrated them, and updated the program all at no charge.

I assume you don't work on heating equipment every day

If you new all the things that a Digital analyzer can tell you versus a wet kit, you wouldn't ever use a wet kit again. Its like telling time with a sundial. I recommend sticking to something you are familiar with and something with interchangeable parts if one breaks down. Bacharach Tech 60 is much less expensive or the Model 120. Don't buy another brand just because it is cheap.
