Anyone ever taking a outdoor reset stop it from making a contact with a thermostat? It's in a church building. For some reason the boiler comes on and makes the basement hot with heat off in the rest of the building.Havn't looked at the building yet.The tekmar rep was there a month ago and said it was the outside temp sensor. So he put it up or down 10 deg but still is overheating. Not sure but I think its a steam system. The church insolated the all the pipes and its still hot. They were woundering if the could put a tt downstairs to stop the heating. Kinda sounds weard but what if its the outside temp sensor? Could you keep the sensor Run one wire into the tt and one on the other side of the sensor so if the outside calls the basement tt wouldn't make contact till the sensor and tt makes the circut?

    Tekmar

Sounds exactly like one we are working on. I assume you have a Tekmar 269. It is a great control but can be tricky to set up in mild weather. Use a 076 sensor in place of the t-stat and make sure you use TRV"s on the radiators if multilevel/spaces. There will be no way to control overheating without them. If its just one big space, the sensor will act as a t-stat once you get the control properly set.
