    Burnham boiler intermitten firing

    Please help troubleshoot:
System fires up and shuts down after 1 min.
    seems like circulator is dead?
high limit switch shuts system down?

    I'm not a tech

but that seems logical. No flow, quickly reaches limit, shuts down. Any amperage/current draw at the circulator?

    don't mean to b

picky, but you need to determine how much current the pump is drawing. Voltage to it is not the same thing. If it has voltage and is not drawing current, there is something wrong with the motor. If the current is too high the pump could be stuck... might blow a fuse or overload... might not.

You also need to know what kind of pump it is. On a B and G 100 the coupling could be broken from the motor to the pump.

the pump is a B&G NRF22 circulator - it is not hot to the touch - so does not seem to be working at all.

    TURN THE BOILER OFF.

    :)

disconnect the power to the circ. plug the leads into an extention cord...GOT JUICE ?

if pump no mo jo,... pipe do not get warm on return...if,' Big Valve' closed ,pipe no get warm.

if pump turned up side down pump or bass akwards, no likey pump at all... pump get sad and stop from thourough disregard for its role in heating your home...

    Trust me on this...
