Yes.
They have been doing this for quite some time. IN fact, I can buy some Mexican Honeywell stuff at HOme Depot cheaper than my supply house pays for it.
Which is one reason why we now avoid their products.

honeywell thermostat
I went to a heating problem call, downstairs working and upstairs freezing...
Checked out the boiler room and found the 3 wires wr zone valve crapped out, customer informed that her friend replaced the thermostat before callin me. I checked and it had the "new" honeywell electronic thermostat... Told her that I'll need the paperwork on it while I'm chasing the repalcement wr powerhead. While I'm at the supply house, the guy at counter said that there no electronic Honeywell thermostat made for series 20 system and gave me the "only" elecrontic wr thermstat with instrustion showing no reference of connecting to existing wr valve. So I finally figured it out with the new Honeywell,( threw the paper out) and got it going.. Customer told me that they got it at the big box store and the supply house telling me they don't have it... So the question is, is Honeywell short changing the supply houses and legit heating trademen by selling to big boxes before us knowing the products are available?0 -
In a word...

Supply house
Does your supply house know about these?

They're all SPDT (series 20/power-open-power-closed-compatible) thermostats in Honeywell's current pro line.
