Would there be flow?

I know this is not an arrangement that would ever be seen in a real world application but if there were an expansion tank at the inlet AND outlet of a ciculator, would there be any flow through the system? For a closed loop system with the expansion tanks both pressurized equally. Would they both act as points of no pressure change? Would there be no pressure differential past the two tanks? Curious about the physics behing this.

    The flow would be the same as without the expansion tanks. If there was a gauge on the expansion tanks, the one on the discharge side minus the one on the suction side would read the pressure drop of the system at the flow rate the pump is capable of providing. It changes the pressure in the tanks, but not the differential across the pump. The volume of water pulled from the tank on the suction side would be absorbed by the tank on the discharge side, but once that has happened, the flow is the same as without the tanks.
