Concrete Sensors

Does anyone know the best way to install concrete sensors in a pad that has already been poured? I looked at a job today that was using a tstat in the mech room to control the snow melt. I was going to try and find the lines along a wall and roto hammer a hole for the sensors. Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks Joe
