As well as pitman9 and Bruce.
That darn valve handle still bugs me.
I wanted to use all B&G Iso-flanges (cause they don't leak, and the "loose flanges" make circ positioning easier) and not some other blue handle ones I had. But the line up of the supply (that I didn't want to change)forced us to use what nipples we had. That's why the 1 inch is higher than the rest. I had no longer 3/4" nips and no shorter 1" nips.
Even though this is in a commercial building in the Bronx, where no one will ever see it (25 watt lamp in the only fixture) it drives me nuts that they don't line up.
The expansion tank is not where I would like it, but it is not directly above the controls. I always put an isolation valve and tee with draw-off so the service guy can change it without too much trouble.
Not too bad for a one day job, started at 9am. To be fair, we went back to change the thermostats and make one zone low voltage from line voltage.

Now don't get all picky on me. We FLEW through this one. Had to use what was in the truck. Time and customer money constraints prevented absolute perfection.
See if you can figure out what bothers me about (most)this job.0 -
Longer nipple under the one circ?
Nice work btw!0 -
Gees Al,
That`s what you call "improvising"? Dave0 -

a-ok
Looks good to me ,Al. good pipework ,you got all the correct goodies where you can service them properly. it is a boiler room, not a living room. and probably works great. a-ok by me. if i missed something, it is sat. nite !0 -
Exp tank over controls?
Only other thing that would bug me is not being able to open the handle on a circ iso flange all the way.0 -
Only other thing that would bug me is not being able to open the
way, however a pair of visegrips and a little pressure at the right spot will bend that handle enough to make it open all the way.0 -
Ran out of 3/4 ball valves
and you would rather of had an indirect ,than the coil .
that is not your favorite location for an anti back flow prevention devise, and a check valve and an st-12 were unavailable for the domestic water...0 -
Yeah
Yeah, I see it, the ball valve handle hits the pipe.0 -
Very nice Al......
I was going to say the immediate off set on the flue out of the boiler. Usually it states to keep the riser as hi as possible before breaking into any Ells. But Great job. I think it is a picture perfect example of someone that takes pride in their work and IT SHOWS>>>>>>!!!!!!!
Great job.
