LP Gas furnace venting

I have an LP gas furnace. It has a single-wall vent that is run through a 2x4 interior wall. I discovered that it has been creating a tremendous amount of moisture inside the wall. The drywall on each side of the vent will have to be replaced. Any suggestions on how I can stop this moisture problem? Also, I was told that all LP gas furnaces must have a double-wall vent. Is this true?

hire a pro

You cannot run single walled vent pipe into a combustible wall. Get a pro in there to vent it correctly. Aside from code violations, this is a fire hazard. Single walled pipe carries a 6" clearance to combustibles for gas.
