hoffman vent threads

in THE MAIN WALL
gotta change a hoffman 1A,... Are the 1/8-27 threads tapered or straight? also what is used on them, teflon or what as a sealer?

    vent threads

    1/8" NPT thread which is tapered. teflon will work but be cateful no to use too much or get it over or in the vent. Not much pressure there so teflon or pipe dope is OK. Don't overtighten.
