Are you talking the domestic water side? Posssibly hard water/ calcium deposits? If so I like Hercules Sizzle. Safe for potable water. Dilute as noted on the bottle.
I use a small plastic pump in a 5 gallon bucket to let it circulate around for a few hours or more.
On the boiler side Rhomar would be a cleaner for boiler gunk, oils, fluxwes. It's more of a alkaline product and would not touch lime and calcium build up.
I believe Flat Plate has cleaning directions in their manual. Maybe their website.
