Anode rod replacement

How do you replace the anode rod in a water heater if the ceiling is in the way???

Disconnect water heater and lay on its side or drill thru ceiling.

The only way out of this one....

Call plumber or, disconnect gas/water lines, tip towards you have wife hold the tank at roughly 8 lbs/per gal x 40 gal. Just kidding! Call the Pro. They will get er done....

As gerry said!Pull the old rod up ,visegrip a section , sawzall a piece , continue over and over. Make sure the replacement rod sections will fit in the given space.
