I posted this last night, but looking for it this morning and it has since disappeared. So here goes again.

I am looking for 7 day programmable line voltage thermostats to control wall mounted electric heaters in the vestibules of a church/school building. All units are running at 240v. Some units are 1500w, others are 3000w Currently the units are running off of the internal thermostats, however this is wasting alot of money since they run all night long when the building is empty.

I found the Honeywell TL8230A1003 Digital LineVoltPro 8000. This appears to be exactly what I am looking for. However I see that it says "15 minute heating cycles". What exactly does this mean. Does it mean that the thermostat will only allow the heater to run once every 15 minutes? So for example if someone opened the door, the thermostat will run the heater to recover the temperature. This will happen within 2-3 minutes. If someone opened the door again at 5 minutes, will the thermostat turn on the heater again, or will it have to wait until the next 15 minute period?

If this is the case then this thermostat is not a good application for a vestibule where you need frequent bursts of heat. Does anyone else know of a thermostat that will work better in this application?

If I need to, I'll build a transformer/relay box and use a 24v thermostat that is capable of more cph, however I would rather find a simpler solution than this.

Thanks for any help regarding this question.

Thanks for your help. I didn't know that the original question got placed in the controls section. I selected the wall when I first submitted it.

Anyways, I did call Honeywell, but since all these companies now use foreign employees that don't speak english, I wasn't able to get any information out of them. He didn't know what I was asking about, and even if he did, I wouldn't have been able to understand what he said anyways.

So I'll just use a 24v thermostat (that ISN'T from Honeywell) that I know has many cph possible and build a transformer/relay box.
