    Left hand thread bushing

    HELP,
    One of my guys ruined a bushing in a steam radiator.
    It looks like 1 1/2" left hand male X 1/2" FMIPS.
    My local supply houses just laughed...anyone?

    I`ve got 1 right here in my hand, but I don`t know how I`d get it to ya! I`m not too surprised your wholesaler laughed!
    Edit- Sorry Joe, it was mis-labeled, it was 1.5"R X .5"L, but I have some 1.5"L X .75"L and a good assortment of L&R nipples.

    I got a couple

    Of those bushings around here... I make some 1.5 nipples with one end is left handed threaded and the other end is right haned treaded. Extra work but it get those old beauties raditors back in business. When I asked for the right hand and left bushings at the supply house, I had to help the guy from the floor laughing and then asked for left handed pipe dies and he went back on the floor til I grabbed the rigid parts book and flipped to the right page and showed to him... I sternly told him to let me know when the dies comes in. Got it within a week.
