Clammy munchkin install

Many thanks for the kind words ,i've found that as with hot air 90 plus furnaces upsizing the venting really quites down the noise levels outside plus they did not have the v500 kit so i saw the v1000 kit and scafed it up ,i'm a little up in the air wih the hydro seperator it in no way removes air like a spriovent just doesn't but it does seemingly use less space then proper primary secondary piping and that's if you are following the rules you know 8 pipe diameters of straight pipe on the inlet and outlet of your closely spaced tee but if you follow the rules all the time i've been able to pipem with a sprovent and my 2 tee in just about the same amount of space so still don'tsee all the benefit but it did go alot quicker then i expected .Again thanks for the kind words unless there my jobs i always get the feeling that i'm taking to long or there is no money in for extra valves ,supports aside from run of the mill stuff but using drywall screws instead of real hardware sorry for the rant peace and good luck clammy

    Clammy munchkin install

This is install is in my own house it's a t80 wall hung with a vision one kit for domestic hot water i used my favorite a buderus st150 tank with a taco 5000 mixing valve i also got sold into a califee hydro seperator .As for heat emmitters i have slant fin 30 and a small fan coil unit for the basement .It was alot of work from framing the wall ,insulating ,rocking and then the fun began .All in all it took about 50 hours to get it to this stage but i was working alone and still have a couple of clamps and hangers to install ,she is running like a champ heating my home running at about 130 with the max set up for 165 ,peace and good luck clammy

    B.E.A.utiful

If all my jobs were designed and installed like this I would be out of the serviceman buisness.

Love the DPB valve BTW... by far the most underused hydronic solution in my opinion.

    Nice!!

Nice piping. Accessible with all components isolated. I'm surprised you didn't use the Buderus GB wall hung. Any reason for the preference?

Clammy, that is the nicest install I've seen on the wall in awhile. Unbelievable attention to detail, I really like the use of steel, it looks so much more professional. As always keep up the good work bro!

    yes and yes

Yeap the lwco is on the supply side and i always try to install a feed by pass less wear and tear on the prv and allows you to really fast fill and purge with some pressure plus late at nite it's better then a washer machine hose off the hot water tank and the wife well she not in this country right now but if she was she would not say a thing she knows im nuts i think thats what she likes about me the pdv was finally delivered after complaining for over ten years the new hydronic design guy knew what i was talkin about he called the local reps who finally knew what i was talkin bout and handed me a PO and off to the local itt supply guys and picked it up and that's that now that i can finally get em on my return home they will become a stock item they are wonderfull devices and work a billion times better then a manual by pass that does not adjust to syetm flow differences .Again thanks for your kind words it's your best work that drives me to produce the work i do .I hope one day to be as good as you guys when i grow up peace and good luck clammy

That is one A-1 install! Nice colors, paint job, finish. The Caleffi alone is worth the price of admission.

Thanks for posting! I am inspired to do better, not that I could. But it is an install to aim for.

    Clammy nice job.

I love my Gb-142. It is not the product as much as taking pride in the installation. You take a lot of PRIDE in your work.

    Thanks

    Clammy rules!

Why don't you live in the Toronto area? I love the look of black iron and you do the tightest installs. That would drive many batty - measuring threaded is an art not a science. That Caleffi looks so at home - the black on black is so chic - nice when the boiler matches as well!

Very inspiring for us piping junkies.

Did you consider the 2" option for the venting?

    Great job, Clammy!

All that uninterupted black pipe speaks volumes about your ability to anticipate how long each piece needs to be, how to tie them together, etc. It's awe inspiring. The Caleffi bottle is a really nice touch also. As usual, these customers are lucky to have you as their contractor.

    Speaking of bypasses...

I really like the bypass for the domestic hot water mixing valve off the back of the Buderus indirect. Very nice!

I'll bet the customer thinks the \"BLUE\" thing is the boiler

It's funny to look at since the Boiler is 1/3 size of the indirect. The customers must be thinking that they paid what for that little Box on the wall. It's nice to see that type of setup when Oil systems are the norm for me. Very nice work Clammy as David stated.
