pellet boiler, purchased through Aquatherm in a customers out building.
The buffer is a 20 gallon HTP plin insulated tank, no HX inside. That seems to be plenty nof buffer the pellet boiler responds much better than the wood fired boilers as far as not over-heating.
We have ru n 6 tons of pellets through it this season without a miss fire or overheat issue. very nice piece of equipment.
That is the Caleffi 3 way thermostatic mixer built for the Hydrolink that mixes the pellet output for a radiant transfer plate installation. It just pulls from the 20 gallon buffer/ seperator/ air vent :)
I have not VS mixed from a Hydrolink. Pitor at Able in Chicago did one and had problems with it tracking properly. I think the mixing chamber at the end messes with things somehow?

piped and fired yesterday
I used that 20 gallon HTP tank to give a little breathing room to the boiler, although it does stop and start rather quickly.
I used this sweet Caleffi mixing block that was designed to hang off their HydroLink. A nice high capacity mixing station with all the right components. Isolation valves, bypass valve gauges, and unions.
The mix station provides the 130F needed at the radiant transfer plate installation.

Is this the upgrade to the solid fuel boiler that you had installed in the barn when I was out to see you last?
There was an error rendering this rich post.

Injection Mixing
I can't recall, have you ever done variable-speed injection-mixing off of the Hydrolink?
