Usually all the info you need is on the instruction sheet. Maybe you have something a little confusing.:-)

Is it a transformer-relay combo with N/O N/C terminals? They could be used to provide Domestic Hot Water Priority back in the day. Johnstone Supply, Graingers, etc. has them. Get a suggested wiring diagram from a new one. Sometimes the relay contacts get flaky and they don't work anymore.
