Those spray humidifider are nothing but junk.
Maybe you should install a water filter on the waterline going into the humidifider.
I would look into Nortec steam humidifiders if it were me.

humidifiers for wood furnaces
I have a customer that has a hot blast wood furnace heating his house. The furnace is in a 10 x 8 room and the room gets very hot, he has a fan powered humidifier now that keeps calcifying and keeping it from working. I have talked to hot blast and many others and they have no ideas that sound like a solution. What would you recommend trying? I feel the spray humidifier for fossil fuel but that has never been mentioned. Would this one be a problem too?0
