I have had one for about 1 year now. As stated it is not the most accurate unit and does seem to take some time to make up it's mind. You have to be willing to spend a little time setting it up and fudging the settings.
Once set up it does what is supposed to, just don't expect pinpoint accuracy on the temp settings.
Worth the money in my mind.

Has anyone tried one of these as an energy saving upgrade on systems that are currently using a L8124 ?
Im interested in your opinions.

I've had one on my system for a few years and it does what is promised. Very basic control that is based on a Tekmar chip. I have 3 zones of fin bb and a DHW tank hooked up to a 20+ year old Weil Mclain HE-series 2 boiler.
From what I can determine, gas savings are at least 10%. I have stopped using any night time setback and still see this savings.
It was very easy to install and setup. It does not seem as precise as one might expect, but that might just be my particular installation. It will overshoot temp with low loads. It seems to think about what to do rather slowly.
I think for the money, you get decent value. No bells, no whistles. but certainly improved comfort even with baseboards.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Larry.
With customers wanting fuel saving options, I am looking at this as one I can offer to fill the cheaper investment spot.
Thanks for your experience.
