The Best

but, for me today it was sitting in a bar with my co-worker who is on leave from Iraq. She is in the National Guard and stationed between Baghdad and Faluga. Home and spending some quality time with her husband and family and took a little time to hang out with some of us. She has been away for more than a year and if not extended will be returning home in May or so. It was so very nice to sit and shoot the breeze with her for a while.

We all know someone there, don't we. I wish for a safe and fast return for Darin (so Mark won't be so alone) and all the rest "over there".

This is who I work with

    when they are stateside.

The only desert duty I'd want to do is in Arizona!

I appologize for not being heat related but

I did not want this to disappear that fast. These people who are very close to me are risking everything over there. The one on the left is an industrial hygienist making sure the troops have decent water and like that. The one on the right grew up with a plumber father and spent time working in trenches that we would cite now.

I have the utmost respect for them and all who are over there.
