used to keep minimum temp in boiler for those with hot water coils, but can be used to protect boiler from low return water temps.

What is the significance of the low setting of the bolier aquatstat. As I understand it the thermostat calls for heat...the high level (usually 180 turns the boiler off) but the boiler water would still circulate to bring the house up to temperature...what does the low number do (usually 160)
